For Valentine's Day, a lovely scent is the perfect accessory. Among plenty other insightful commentary, Coco Chanel said that "a woman should wear perfume whenever she wants to be kissed." Talk about a power quote! I've tried many perfumes in the past, and I love each new product I discover - I'm not picky about the exact notes of a perfume, but I do want a 'lovely feel' about the scent (if that makes sense). I often look for floral and fruity finishes for every day and more earthy, almost masculine tones for evenings or events. Overall, I find perfumes to be a good beauty investment because the actual product tends to last longer (plus, it's the easiest way to spruce up a look!).
Chanel Chance - sultry and sensual this Chanel classic has a mix of floral, fruity, and earthy notes (reviewed here)
Miss Dior Eau de Toilette - delightfully sheer this scent features tangerine and caramel popcorn (reviewed here)
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh - whimsical and enchanting with notes of strawberry, violet, and gardenia (and the packaging makes for the best vanity decor)
Chloe Eau de Parfum (affordable mini set) - one of my absolute favorites, a ladylike scent with sophisticated rose and peony notes (seriously, if you're picky about perfumes, Chloe fragrances like See by Chloe and Roses de Chloe are universally flattering).
Vera Wang Princess - simply sweet and youthful scent with vanilla, lily, and apricot (reviewed here)
Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb - the ultimate flower fragrance with notes of freesia, jasmine, and orchids
Le Couvent des Minimes Botanical Cologne - a splash of refreshing and unisex fragrance with herbal and grapefruit notes
What are some of your signature fragrances (I'd love to add to my collection)? Hope everyone has a lovely scented Valentine's Day (even though it's not a 'real' holiday, it's the perfect excuse to celebrate mid-freezing-February).
Stay Pretty, Miranda M.
